Can you please elaborate how the dog got hanged (not hung, btw)? I can see crushed or maybe suffocated but like is there a chain that coils or some shite?

She apparently fell asleep over one of the rails, then when it shut it crushed her neck. When I lifted up the couch she was hanging by her neck. Guess hung was the wrong word is more ways than 1. Thanks for pointing that out.
