Totally understand and agree. While their electronics parts quality wasn't top notch, it would do in a pinch. Hell without RS I wouldn't have gotten out of some of my 300 level digital circuit classes...damn wirewrap.

Some of the little mom and pop electronic stores have gone away too. I remember we had one in Sulphur and it's gone now as well as one in Lake Charles, although it may still be there. The ones here in Huntsville, Al are both gone: W&W and Mock's electronics.

And now with all the maker stuff for Arduino and Raspberry Pi...you gotta order it. Damn big box stores.

I made my own crossover when I was in high school with stuff purchased from Mock Electronics.

I miss actual stores with “experts” you could talk with.

Car stereo, electronics, auto parts, hardware, you name it. It just isn’t the same.
