I'm agreeing with both of yall.
Biggest DeKay's I've ever seen, or some type of garter snake I haven't seen before.
Garters on my side of the state don't look like that.

In Ga and SC they are usually a brownish green. At first glance I was thinking this was a Dekays but I am leaning towards garter now, especially with that dorsal stripe

This would be the second time I have made that mistake. I predict I will do it every time a brown garter is posted.
