More believable than what happens in Rise of Skywalker, but they establish in the PT that it took 20 years to build the first one. Even if you take into account the time saved by already knowing "how" to build it, building and fitting out a moon-sized space station should take longer than the span of 2-3 years in between ESB and RotJ.

I liked Rise of Skywalker, and I think a signifcant part is an ability to recognize it's eventually all a movie.

Even the original trilogy, as great as it is, has the plot device moments. Heck, the single vent that could destroy Death Star 1 was essentially just a deus ex machina for Rebel victory until the backstory added through Rogue One.

Yeah, Rise of Skywalker has fan service plot moments that aren't that realistic, but I think people get picky with it in ways they don't with other movie franchises.
