Everybody watch the film and rant
Kid sure has the arm strength to make all the throws the offense will ask of him. First play of his junior highlight tape he launches a ball from his own 3 and the receiver catches it on the opposite side 43....just an easy 55 yard bomb as a 16-17 year old...
He looks a lot like the kind of QB LSU wants as he really looks a lot like burrow out on the field. Just throwing guys open on these long passes and side stepping rushers without much trouble.
Caleb Williams may end up being an unstoppable force in football but Nussmeier does seem to have the style and ability that could best translate to success in the current LSU offense. Not to say Williams doesn't have that or wouldn't be able to be great....but just watch Nussmeier play and tell me he doesn't remind you of burrow with how he plays the game...

Fans are star-gazers by nature. Some are defaulting to Williams strictly based on stars.
In reality, Nussmeier will likely get bumped up significantly and could easily be a 5 star.
The only thing keeping him from that now is his size, which is weird because size is becoming less of an issue, even in the NFL.
He will get a bit bigger, have a crazy senior year and probably be a top 5 quarterback in the rankings.
He’s there already in my opinion.
The coaches know the lay of the land. They may already know Williams is going elsewhere.
If so, take Nussmeier, then Walker Howard in 2022. Then we are set at QB for nearly a decade.
