Good question and I get asked that a lot.

We do this Hunt Fish Camp thing down at Santee Cooper every year, a bunch of us old Vets get together from our old unit at Bragg.

A lot of guys bring gennies.

We compared the noise level of the two and to me there was an little difference, not much and certainly not $700 difference between the two new.

One of my buddies who turned me on to the Champions said he bought a different muffler from Western Auto and put on the Champion, like $30 or something. Anyways, he swears it is now quieter than the Honda. That's a fwiw. He and I are somewhat obsessed with gennies. I have quite a few including one diesel gennie I built out of an old Lister Peter warming motor the airforce used to warm engines on jets. I've got Honda's and Briggs $ Stratons and Champions as well as two whole house generacs which I am fixin' to replace.

Those little Champions are just the absolute bomb for the money. I mean how can one not buy two at that price?

So I bought two of them.

You can also hook them up in parallel with a little kit they sell.

I believe they are more efficient than my Hondas, their run time is a couple of hours longer on the same amount of gas.

Now I am hearing they are about to come out with a propane conversion kit for the little gennies and if they do I am going to jump all over a couple of those.

How do they compare to the Predator gennies from Harbor Freight?
