I know he produced last season but giving a coach that kind of money with no history of sustaining success is crazy.

meh. This is the going rate.

Going rate for what?

Day has been co-OC for one year, OC the next year, and HC the next year. $7.6MM is what they were paying Urban.

That's crazy money for Day and his tier of coaches.

Don’t know about overpaid coaches, but definitely rape

Coach O may be overpaid too, let's see how he does without the greatest LSU player ever. He's had 1 great year as a head coach so let's see what he does in the near future. I'd wager a large amount that Day has a better record than coach O when it's said and done

Yea and Day won't get that until 2022.

Day was the 7th highest paid coach in the B1G this season. He deserved a raise for the performance of the team despite people making jokes about complete team blah blah blah. OSU was really good last season and everyone can admit that. He had the team ready to go basically every week of the season

Let's play a game. See if you can spot the difference in O's season and Day's season. Your coach is a Louis Litt looking whiny rat.

Lol any coach worth a hot shite can get you 10 wins a year at Ohio State.

The only conference with a bigger gap in talent between the number one and two teams is the ACC.

Not true. Prior to this recruiting class that just signed Michigan had equivalent overall talent to Clemson. Wisconsin and Penn State also regularly send guys to the NFL.

I would venture to say the actual biggest talent gap in a Power 5 conference isn't even in the ACC. Rather, it's in the Pac 12 with Oregon being the most talented team. In the ACC, schools like FSU and Miami have more talent than their records indicate.

I’m not sure about Miami but FSU has been top 5 in talent the past 3 years per 247. If only they’d kept Taggart longer...

I would agree with you for the most part. I just think Miami has some skill guys who will play in the NFL. But, that's it.

A lot of money for just turning a blind eye and letting the boosters run wild.
