Both Senator Richard Shelby and Governor Kay Ivey said Sunday afternoon that President Trump has cancelled the plan to bring American coronavirus patients to Alabama.

In an interview by phone, Rep. Mike Rogers said, Anniston "is no way equipped to deal with infectious disease control. So I called President Trump on Air Force One headed to India and informed him. He had no idea about this. He was, as you might imagine, upset. He told me to assure everyone he was going to stop it."
"I've never seen something like this being initiated by the federal government where you didn't at minimum notify the congressional delegation and much less the local elected officials and the governor. The governor wasn't notified to ask what she thought about it. She was just told, 'We're doing it," Rogers said

Whew!
My question: With a likely man-made engineered biological weapon that has been all but impossible to contain, why would you plop those infected into the Heart of the Deep South?

Alabama is always number one or two in Trump supporters per capita and has been from the beginning. I knew this couldn't have been his idea. Well that and it is a flat out horrible idea.

Alabama Poop TrainAlabama accepts everyones human waste so it’s only fair to assume they would accept those sick with this virus as well.

Who is making these calls to bring them back and then to place them in Alabama?
They apparently aren’t discussing it with the administration.

Good question. Instead of containing the virus, it looks more like they're taking unnecessary risks to spread the virus.

We need to know who is making these calls.

Yuck, yuck, yuck.

How much sense does it make to remove infected subjects from containment, board them for transport two-thirds of the way across the country, and place them in an area where the closest confirmed case of corona virus is a thousand miles away?

Texas isn't thousands of miles away.
3 confirmed and on Friday they released 90 from quarantine in San Antonio.
