Perhaps the philanthropic effort could have went towards educating citizens why shooting each other in broad daylight is wrong, making sure critical canal arteries are clear of car blockage or preventing buildings from flopping over. At the least they should've finished the job, but, that wouldn't have increased the total of valuable feeling points earned.

The statues in question are vanity projects. Dismissal of statue relocation as a vanity project is projection.
