Louisiana's issue isn't tax revenue, it's too many people living off of the government and not enough productive citizens.

Someone posted a stat somewhere that LA spends around $9,000 per resident in terms of state budget. Fully $2,000 more than the average southern state. MS was the next closest at $8,000. We don’t have a tax problem in this state. We have a spending and productivity problem.

Now I’m going to get off my soap box on an internet message board and go back to work

No doubt. But the discrepancy between what the rest of the country is doing with tax breaks is dramatic.
