I work 1800 hours a year if you count the days during summer for training and those days I have to come back to work after hours for school functions.
Now just talking the 185 days I'm at work I'm at 1670.
Now I do know teachers who work 7-7pm every day and since we are required to eat lunch with students they have no breaks. Now I would never be that teacher but you have several who are

I don’t see how you’d have a choice. You have to set aside time to grade student work and prepare lessons, None of that happens during the school day.
If you didn’t put in work outside of school hours, you wouldn’t be good at your job. Those people put in 7-7pm because it’s necessary.
