Way to blow one of the most laid back, highly paid, highly promoted jobs in law enforcement in the country.
Highway patrolmen in Louisiana handle traffic matters, make well over 100k, and every time you turn around they are having a press conference or making public awareness videos to promote themselves.
And idiots like this throw it all away and give everyone in law enforcement a bad reputation.
Terrible.

Where are you getting 100k from? I just looked up average salary and it was like 70k at the highest.

THIS.
This is why I'm so hard on law enforcement and am so often accused of being a police hater. It's just the opposite. I think it's a very serious job that requires very serious people. With great power comes the expectation of great responsibility. And I think we can all agree that law enforcement in this country have great power. Too much, in fact. Which makes it all that more important that we have incredible people in those positions that get paid accordingly. Unfortunately, all too often, a double-digit IQ and a high school diploma is all that's required.

Plenty of idiots still out there to maintain that well-earned reputation.
