It's in the players self interest to get paid for a job interview? It's in the players best interest to show up PERIOD.

It’s in my best interest to show up to my job every day.

It’s also in my best interest to ask for a raise when I deserve one

Both things can be true

Do you REALLY the NFL GAS about the TV revenue generated?

Yes. If they didn’t then they would have no issue with the idea in the OP

How bout the players do their own combine? They find the facility, they invite the scouts, they put together the TV deal AND keep ALL the revenue. Sounds fair to me?

Nobody tell this guy what a pro day is

You deserve a raise before you're even hired? By who?

So there's a national combine where players rent a facility and all 32 scouts show up along with players from all over the country? Like the combine? Where is this?Is it on TV?

How much the players pay LSU or UGA to use their facilities for their own pro days?

What??

Sorry,do you really the combine was invented as a revenue generator for the NFL? LMAO!

Don't you think just for a second that this was an investment and that cost hundreds thousands of dollars putting on the combine when it started?

BTW,I HIGHLY doubt NFL scouting is making a profit off the combine at all?

Who says they are?

This idiot who wrote the article? It's nothing but pure speculation.

The entire article was nothing but conjecture.

Combine isn’t made for tv They used to keep it so secret until reporters were allowed access and started spilling out secrets.

And if networks had to pay LLWS players for airing their games my guess is they just wouldn't air them any more

Good luck getting fans to pay "good money" for tickets to watch the combine.

Many thousands of people went and stood in the rain to watch the draft so I'm sure they could get thousands of idiots to pay and watch the combine.

Always funny when people think guys who have played for free for 4 years are selfish but the billionaire owners who don’t want to pay the players for something like this aren’t

It’s almost like people care about their team more than they care about the players because the players can come and go as they please.

Crazy stuff right?
