Jam Bands =/= Prog Rock
It's not the length of the song that is the issues with jam bands. It's the lack of focus, direction and orchestration. Their isn't a purpose other than to just... jam. It's tiresome

Agreed. I like long songs, I have some GY!BE albums that are just two songs that are 20 to 30 mins each but each has cohesion and direction. Jamming can be mindless fun to do with your friends but it’s not my cup of tea to want to go listen to somebody else play.
