I watched that being replayed while traveling from Saudi Arabia to USA in June1991. Had been there since January 3rd. Thought that it was the most beautiful rendition ever.

I remember returning home from LSU to visit my high school's homecoming game.
When I heard the national anthem played live on a Cajun French accordion, belting out from the PA system, I recognized what a unique place I grew up in.

It's sad what happened to her because she was so talented.
What happened to her? Nothing happened to her. It was all voluntary. She was not a victim, but was a volunteer. Despite all the warnings and educational material flung in her face, she decided to commit suicide by substance abuse.
She had heard many times, in advance, that drugs are bad, Mmmmmkay? It was a chosen path of action, not "Something happening to her."
