Will be in North Charleston in May. Anybody seen him at a live show and, if so, what are your thoughts? Thanks for any input!

I saw him at Suwannee Springfest a few years ago. He puts on a great show and his set goes from standard bluegrass to psychedelic type jams. Great show.

I saw him this past fall at the Railbird Festival in Lexington, KY. His live show is way better than his recordings. The album stuff constrains him into 3 minute tracks.

great flat picking style and sings in the old school high lonesome sound style. Takes traditional bluegrass and takes out into the cosmos at moments.

I've seen him several times, most recently at Duling Hall in Jackson. The kid is so insanely talented. He played fast and furiously for nearly 2.5 hours. I was exhausted just watching him. I wouldn't miss him when he comes back around Jazz Fest with Marcus King.

Been told this time after time however the stars haven't alighted.

A friend's son opened for him several months ago here in B'ham. Just some high school kids in a band that lucked into a small venue mid-week show. During their set Billy came out of nowhere and jammed with them... they were completely caught off guard and couldn't stop with how truly nice he was. Karma, such a small thing for him and such a big thing for them.

Awesome! Ive seen a couple shows where he has gone out with fans who were waiting in the freezing for doors to open and brought them hot chocolate.

After his show here in atlanta we were bullshitting around in the parking lot and two kids (probably 12 and 14 yrs old) were playing...about 5 min later I saw him pop out his tour bus and go play with them. It was really cool and he seems like a super down to earth guy. I hope stardom doesnt change him.

He is the shite, saw him open for Greensky last October at Redrocks. He was the better show IMO and I love Greensky.
