re: Rush's reaction after the SOTU to receiving the Presidential Medal

I couldn't believe how many people were saying he was "faking" or "acting" surprised about receiving the medal. I guess when he was being wheeled into the gallery, someone told him he would be receiving it. What people DON'T understand is that Rush is practically deaf and has cochlear implants (hence the apparatus you see around the side of his head behind his ears), and he does not hear well at all in large rooms or where there is a lot of background noise. You can even see in that TMZ clip that he cannot hear Harvey asking him the question and Catherine has to lean over to tell him.
