This whole story is maddening. I am all for gay rights. I am for small government, and that includes not legislating what people do in their own bedrooms/relationships/marriages.
I don't understand how the Republican party has allowed these evangelicals to take the party the wrong direction. Lower taxes, less regulation, free trade, foreign policy that benefits the US - those should be the tenants of the party. Not religious crusading.
