I haven't said that I'm in favor of banning all divorces. I'm in favor of banning no-fault divorces.

The consequences of such a policy may involve purposeful adultery or desertion or even perjury to acquire a divorce with fault assigned. In fact, I believe the reason why no-fault divorces were allowed in the first place was so that people wouldn't feel forced to perjure themselves to get a divorce, but I don't normally support a bad or destructive policy in order to prevent negative consequences from breaking the law.
