This isn't the year that the championship usually pays off for. It's usually the next 2 cycles. All of the work on this group of kids was done last year.

We lost Brady and Aranda. Plus, we lost 2/3 of our starters. If LSU looks average for 2020, it won't make kids want to come to LSU.
