I have never had an issue with the fiskars as i was able to lift the blades higher than what the gas power mowers say they go to ( and assuming I didn't miss a cut).

I have a Mc Clane with the Honda engine. IT works great on my yard, centipede in front and empire zoysia in the back. Unless your St. Aug is super short, I think you would have trouble.
