One way.

And I don’t always Uber. Wife sometimes picks me or drops me off including some locations in the middle.

As someone mentioned being a bit more productive in the hour is nice. Only draw back is I don’t do any grocery runs on the way home but the grocery store is only a mile from home and we use amazon a lot for stuff.

I’ll post my total spend at the end of the month to be accurate. As I said this wasn’t a purposeful exercise so not sure how long it will last. Also I’ll try to capture any inconvenience where having that 2nd car really would have saved time or money

It’s not even about the second car. I can’t imagine doing this everyday commuting from the burbs.

Walking out the office... “hey let’s review xyz for a few minutes....” oh, sorry my Uber is here. I can’t.

“Let’s go get lunch”. Sorry I can’t drive, I don’t have a car.

“Sorry I’m late, I had to cancel my Uber and call another one because — fill in the blank—“

“Honey, can you grab xyz at the store one the way home”. Yeah... but I’ll have to get an extra Uber and be an extra 20 min.

I could go on. Without public transit or living in an urban setting having a car is just crucial in my opinion.
