I just don't understand how that sentence construction could come to mind.

They can actually be used as a singular pronoun when the gender or name is not known or doesn't want to be revealed

Sorry to hijack. Transgenders want to be called they. The thing that makes me the most furious about it is that it’s incorrect diction.

This minute percentage of the population are a bunch of tyrants It’s why people are randomly deciding they don’t know what gender they are. They are weirdos and think they can finally boss people around.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming: Schiff is just trying to pretend he doesn’t know who Eric Cimarella is, bc he’s disingenuous about everything. Although Eric Ciamarella is a Millenial, so there’s a distinct possibility he doesn’t know what gender he is
And is one of those assholes who puts his pronouns in his bio.
