Look at the numbers from whenever Miles was at Okie State and his first three to four seasons here, then look at the numbers following the 2008 season.

(2008 had decent offensive numbers despite all the interceptions, but it was a dropoff from 2006-2007, though was the precipice of the offensive cliff the team went off.)

Miles didn't consistently run shitty offenses until post-2008.

The 2011 season is one you can point to where the Points per game and total offense numbers are because of the defense.

Ranked 17th in PPG and 86th in yards.

You guys are blinded by your hate for Miles to see that things weren't always that way, granted it was a lot longer of terrible offense than good offense with him.

And yes, I know offenses are different now.

The most recent Andy Staples podcast has a great Pelini discussion with The Athletic's Nebraska writer. A lot of Nebraska talk, but good insight. It left me feeling good about the hire. Anyone wanting Pelini intelligence from a post-LSU perspective should check it out.
