Not to hate on your vacation. Everyone should do what they love. But honestly, the best thing about the Out Islands of the Bahamas is the fact that you get to experience some truly untouched beaches and waters. Staying at resort in one of the most beautiful places on earth just seems wrong.

Get out and explore. Stop at road-side conch stands and get fresh made conch salad. Stop at a shack bar along the way to some random beach, have a cold Kalik and bullshite with some locals. Pick up a hitch-hiker and take him/her to where they are going (very common practice on the out islands).

Being spontaneous on the out islands is how you make memories and create fantastic stories to tell about your vacations.

To me, that is far better than, "This here's a picture of Judy when she got plastered on the all-you-can-drink pina coladas and ended up passing out by the pool."
