I can & do, but it's best to "keep that in the family".
But don't hate the playa (Democratic party), hate the game (the primary system). If you give more ideological activist voters control over the nominees you're bound to get more more extreme & ideological nominees. It doesn't just happen in the Democratic party, btw.
