That wasn't my point. Nor was it my claim.

My point was, these drug companies have a legal obligation to their shareholders to increase profits. Theyre for-profit companies and we're supposed to trust that they're not going to cut corners in the products that they supply that very few people have the ability or the knowledge to independently verify its safety. That's not even considering regulatory capture of the government agencies that are supposed to protect us.

Would you inject some product into your babies made by McDonald's or Ford Motor Company? For some strange reason people hold the medical industry in a higher regard than others. Their motivations are the same. To make money. When you fully accept this realisation then your trust and scrutiny would be about the same as it would for other products you purchase. Then you realize how scary it was that you placed wholesale trust in such a group of people.

Fear is the best tool in marketing. Fear is the best tool for separating people from their money.
