Still, not many were sad to see him go. I remember how hated he was towards the end and get a little chuckle when I see people clamoring for him now. They either weren’t old enough to remember or have forgotten.

The haters were wrong, btw, like they almost always are. Coordinators are a pretty thankless position if you stay long enough. I can’t recall anyone going from almost worshiped as a god to reviled as the devil as quickly as Dave Aranda. Stay long enough, though, and it’s almost inevitable. It’s why Brady bouncing was probably smart. The shine would have eventually worn off.

I am somewhat concerned about Bo’s demeanor if he does wind up back here. Though they may need it, I’m not sure today’s players respond to that sort of in-your-face arse reaming. Maybe he’s mellowed a bit though. We’ll see. Interesting times.

Enough time has passed since his named surfaced. If he was going to be our guy we'd know by now. And the '07 BCS Championship washes away all of his transgressions as DC.

Saban's demeanor has remained that way and he continues to pull and coach top players. Bottom line? Winning and winning consistently will overshadow any arse chewings that must be endured. Championships draw players.

I’m worried about his below-average looks. No one wants an ugly duckling in their living room or someone that looks like they have permanent bad breath yelling in their face.
