I came off prednisone recently. It's important to supplement with vitamin D and calcium to prevent bone loss from the steroid.
As discussed here, vitamin D deficiency is associated with poor COVID-19 outcomes.
If you don't mind breaking the law, nothing works better for inflammation than does cannabis. Weed's anti-inflammatory effect is stronger than corticosteroids and 20 times stronger than aspirin. I try not to take NSAIDS but weed works synergistically with ibuprofen to defeat inflammation.

I had a supplement I was taking that was zinc, D3, calcium and magnesium together, but switched to just a 5000iu D supplement while on these meds since calcium can cause interference with them. I tried ibuprofen first, then switched to meloxicam, then to 800mg ibuprofen and then got a toradol shot. Nothing helped. Finally went to the ER where they gave more toradol and dilaudid. That finally helped. Took Percocet a couple times after I got home and it seemed to subside enough that I stopped after two doses. Only have one dose of steroid in so far. Still hurting today in back and hip, but I can walk.
I wouldn’t be against weed, but not gonna break the law to do it. Just gonna have to let this run it’s course I guess.
