Interesting take.
I do like them using whole data for their groups. They can get complete info even if it is just a small sample.
I question if using NBA players in a normal city and US citizens amoung a chinese city could skew along the lines of a crowd that is more separated from the general public experiences in their respective countries. Basically they were shielded from as many contacts.
