...we are gonna have a kicker that can kick into the endzone this year? Jasper and Crutchfield never even got close last year.

Wow

Maybe, I'm wrong, but judging from the post count, and when this guy joined, I'm smelling fair weather.

I remember a senior kicking off for either the Texas (Houston) or Louisiana high school all star teams who put it in the endzone everytime. Wonder where he's going to?

Whoever he is, the Saints should use a first round pick on him.

It is a big advantage in todays game to have a kicker who can consistently put the ball deep in the endzone. Hope Allemen is the guy cause the other 2 couldn't get it pass the 10 yard line last year.

Agreed. With the rule change last year (kickoffs backed up 5 yards), a kicker who can consistently kick it deep (not necessarily into the endzone, but close) has become even more important. Many coaches went to the squib kick last year at certain times because of the rule change. Tubby's decision to do so late in the game last year came back to bite him.

There are a lot of highschool kickers that seem to be able to kickoff into the endzone, but then can't do it at the college level. Besides the extra 5 yards, there must be something different.

don't high schools still kick from the 40? If so, that's 10 yards. The rule change last year significantly reduced the number of kicks going into the end zone, much less deep in the end zone. I think I saw a stat though, that the average starting position, across the nation, only moved about 3-4 yards...
