I've been to probably 40 arenas and Bud Walton was the best environment. Been to the Dean Dome, Rupp, Pauley, Hinkle, etc. but haven't been to Duke. Going to KU on Saturday.

Have heard good things about Iowa State and Hilton Magic but the game I went to there Tennessee beat them by 25+ a couple years ago so didn't get to see it at its best.

Xavier was sneaky good imo.

I’m jealous. I’ve traveled for many CFB games and maybe a hundred baseball stadiums between minor, majors, and college.

I’ve always wanted to do basketball, but it’s during a busy time of year for me. I can hit up Early Tourney rounds or the Final Four because of scheduling, but never really have a great chance to take days off to see marquee college hoops matchups. All the LSU games I saw as a student were at thePMAC.

Bud Walton when it's full (19,000-ish) is easily a top college basketball environment. Apparently Frank Broyles, the legendary Arkansas football coach and longtime AD, went all over the country in the early 90s researching how to build both a large, world class indoor arena AND keep some intimacy and noise and environment.

But honestly, the Bud is no match for their former home, Barnhill Arena.

It was a lot like Cameron Indoor - an old, small-ish, right on top of you, quirky noise machine. It only sat about 9,000, but I think it rivaled any home envrionment in the history of CBB. It alos helped that Arkansas had about a 20-year run that building that included regular final 4 teams and national title contenders, but the crowds werr also unbelievable, thehad Chants and hog calls and the band and lots more than the crowds now have.
