noticed that a while back. Almost every LSU commitment is rated way lower by 247 than by ESPN and Rivals.
take our two QB's for example, Max Johnson is rated 251 by the composite and 588 by 247
TJ Finley is rated 492 by the composite and 736 by 247
This bothers me due to I always considered 247 the best of the recruit services sites. But whether it is 492 or 736 for Finley and 251 or 588 for Johnson, I am sure our coaching staff sees something in them much higher than that or they wouldn't have offered. Out of all the ratings, seems the coaching staff does the best at evaluating them.

Hey Boxcar, it is really worse that what we have been saying about the ridiculous disparity in ESPN, Rivals, Scouts vs 247. Hey, I knew my math degree would not be wasted
I'm assuming each of the 4 services count equally for the composite...I believe I saw that one time. here is the formula composite rating = (247 rating + 3x) / 4 Thus in Max's case it would be 251 = (588 + 3x) / 4. Bottom line solving for x we have the average rating of the other 3 for Max Johnson as 138.6 WOW!!! That is 138.6 vs 247 alone rating of 588. Sorry, I have seen the guy's video! There is 0% chance there are 587 players better than him. 247 is flat out FOS!

Ask them to re-visit their rankings after we've had these players for 3 or 4 years and they perform at a high level in the NFL.
