if you're looking for more than nightlife, there's some great outdoors worth exploring not far from seattle. Olympic National Park is awesome. if you head the other direction, the Cascades are gorgeous with glacier lakes, hiking, whitewater rafting(not sure how May is for rafting).

The pop museum and the glass exhibit are worth a stop and it's all right there close to the Pike market.
