How bad is not letting ducks not winter in an invertebrate rich environment hurting calcium needs in egg production? How are egg shell density without these nutritional goals meet?

case and point. USWF took in 3 limits of ducks for survey during split in Hackberry. Guess what they were loaded with? Small snails, leaches, shrimp, clam, grubs, multiple crustaceans, you name it. Guess what else. a few of the ducks had gorged on small apple snails!!! So tell me how great it would be for ducks to help with that invasive snail population.
