we don't have near the invertabrates that we used to.... thanks to changing rice practices and more so from siltation in some marshes and of course the invasive trifecta.

case and point. USWF took in 3 limits of ducks for survey during split in Hackberry. Guess what they were loaded with? Small snails, leaches, shrimp, clam, grubs, multiple crustaceans, you name it. Guess what else. a few of the ducks had gorged on small apple snails!!! So tell me how great it would be for ducks to help with that invasive snail population.
