I know there's a lot going on right now, but before we get too far away from bowl season, I just thought it would be nice to point out that the state was 5-0 in bowl games this year. Just a fun fact as we head into the Spring.... (Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I haven't seen anything.)
La. Tech 14 - Miami 0
Tulane 30 - Southern Miss. 13
ULL 27 - Miami (OH) 17
LSU 63 - OU 28
LSU 42 - Clemson 25

Three out of the five LA FBS teams had 10 or more wins. If I recall from the numbers I crunched the other day, the only other state with that many 10+ win schools was Florida.
Louisiana teams had a combined ~.710 or so winning percentage. The next closest state with four or more FBS teams was like .590.
Texas has a lot of teams, many of them shitty. As a state they were below .500.
Don’t have the numbers with me, but it was quite the impressive year for Louisiana’s teams.

The OP should add these 2 teams to the list.
Southeastern and Nicholls made the FCS playoffs

Nice. I think those would have all been losses a few years ago

Here are the boredom-at-work numbers for winning percentage by state with 4 or more FBS teams (number of teams in parentheses):
Team============Win %
Louisiana (5)======0.716
Florida (7)========0.593
Alabama (5)=======0.563
Michigan (5)=======0.561
Indiana (4)========0.560
Georgia (4)========0.558
North Carolina (7)===0.539
Tennessee (4)======0.5294
Ohio (8)===========0.5288
California (7)=======0.494
Texas (12)=========0.436
Apologies for the weird formatting, Tigerdroppings didn't allow for pretty columns whenever I'd preview the post.
