Friend,
Tilapia, with an I, was good enough for Jesus. It’s certainly good enough for us. If you’ve ever had fresh wild tilapia, which I presume you haven’t, your words might be more respectful about this delicious fish. I prefer it to many fish including redfish, tuna, mackerel, mako, catfish, cod, rainbow trout, white trout, swordfish, and gar.
I can only surmise its dismissal by food snobs comes from its ubiquity and low cost. If it were as expensive or difficult to come by as, say, tripletail, which tastes similar, the same despisers might become its fiercest defenders.
Sincerely,
TulaneLSU

You also eat at Golden corral and keep teenage girls tied up in your garage.

It has no flavor other than whatever seasoning you put on it.
