He's not doing very well at the moment. He's currently in the hospital on a respirator and the outlook is well ... up to the man upstairs.
I'll be at Samuel's on Thursday. Fried Chicken for the lunch special!

Heard this last night............sad indeed. Our group has done business with Sammy for many years. He was always a class act to us. Its tough to see anyone suffer and I hope he doesn't have to for long.
His son Sammy (not sure if its Jr or III) is as nice a guy I have ever met in the Restaurant business. He is currently running D'agostino's (not sure about Samuel's) and he will do fine. If any of you ever get a chance to talk to him, you will know.
Here's to you Sammy, godspeed............

As of Wednesday, he was up and moving around....He was supposedly telling jokes and in good spirits...MUCH IMPROVED from the previous week or so....the prayers must be working so please keep 'em coming.....

Tree just call him Hollywood, see what he says. Last I heard Sammy's daughter Amy was running Samuels.

I just got the good news that he is OUT of the hospital...He is back at home. That is a 100% turnaround from where he was last week at this time.

I'll try and keep giving updates on here since I see there are people interested. Hopefully, their won't be any updates for a while and he will continue doing great.
