Many of you guys fail to realize that being an NFL football player is not like having a desk job at State farm. The spending power of 15 million dollars vs 20 million dollars is nothing relative to what you and I, and the everyday average Joe could I expect to see in our salary.

these guys make the kind of money that can afford them the luxury of choosing to be able to pay others on the team and stay competitive (you know, like a second wide receiver option), or they can take every cent and run with it.

really just up to them and where their priorities are. and it's not that far-fetched to think that somebody who's worth a hundred million dollars would be willing to sacrifice a little bit of change in order to have another super bowl stamped to their Wikipedia page

If Brees signs a deal for $28mil a year, I want to make sure you guys understand that he did sacrifice a little bit of change.

Because everything I see out there is guys wanting him to take a $20mil deal, and that's not a "little bit of change" of a discount to what his fair market value is.
