sounds like this is the real issue here.

it's probably like that for both of you and she wants to mask it over with another child.

ask her what are her real reasons for having another child and give her your real reasons for not wanting to and try to see each others' perspective. i'm not talking about surface shite either. tell her if you're not feeling secure in the marriage, tell her if you're not happy, etc.

if your marriage is on the rocks, you two need to have a tough discussion and figure that out. find a way to make it work and recommit to each other unless there's infidelity or abuse going on, in which case you both need to walk away.

don't bring another child into turmoil. settle things with your wife and reevaluate afterwards.
