Two round trip non stop flights from BR to IAH ($233x2=$466) + 8 Uber Rides=$500/month. With in flight WiFi and/or Data you can work nearly your entire Uber/Flights and you’re there in about 75% less time.
It would honestly be worth it to me. Even if I had to pay. If my company balked, I’d just run the numbers on my salary broken down to rate of pay per hour, calculate the time spent commuting and not working since I’m certain they’re paying you during your commute, and then look at potential savings in fuel and/or mileage expenses they’re paying you for now.
I’m pretty sure it’s either a wash or close to it. Hell even if it’s not offer to pay the difference.
You’ll be more productive, less stress and have some potential write offs.
