You ought to read the story about his auditioning for Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson for Rush.

There is a very good documentary on Netflix about Rush.
He was a great songwriter, drummer, wordsmith, author and photographer as well. I’ve read 3 or 4 of his books.
He came back after writing Ghost Rider after not having played for like 4-5 years and they toured up until 2015 when he said he just couldn’t play like he wanted to anymore because of tendinitis. He also had remarried, moved to California and had a new young daughter he wanted to be with.
He rode his motorcycle worldwide and except for America his friend Brutus rode with him. Brutus couldn’t come into the United States after he spent time in prison for smuggling weed. His books are great and I highly recommend reading.
I’m a sad guy right now.
