I didn’t post to suggest I wanted a war by any means. I made the comparison of strength and confidence in the picture to LSU offense.

If anything, a show of dominant force is a deterrent to war. Which was OP’s point.
By intimidating the opponent right out of the gate, you get them playing tentative and scared. This is exactly what we did to Oklahoma, and we all saw how that worked out.
Not sure why this guy brought politics into it. Jeez, it’s possible to mention the president without making a political point.
Some people are just easily triggered.
From a military perspective, the whole point is to show any potential adversaries that war would not bode well for them, thus (ideally) avoiding it altogether.
Obviously we can’t and don’t want to avoid the game, but the comparison is still valid in the sense that if we can get in their heads early we have a better chance of winning.
