I was thinking back on the season and realize that i couldn't remember our offense running any trick plays. No flea flickers, no half back passes etc:
Coach O basically said we gone line-up, man-up and beat the sh%t out you.
Do you think he will have a few trick plays up his sleeve for the Championship game?

I don’t think our offense will need trick plays to move the ball.

Every play is a trick play.

Ah guaraannntee Cher. Hope we never pull them out of the playbook, but Coach E will not miss a lick. Better to have it & not need it, then need it & not have it.

That’s what LLes had to do... O recruited and wanted a real QB... no need.

A historical offense does not need trick plays. LSU has averaged nearly 50 ppg thorough 14 games without having to use any trick plays. I think they will be fine.

Payton rarely runs trick plays either. He'll have 1 or 2 flea flickers every season, but that's it.

Trick plays are like jambalaya sauce. Cheap, false, and reserved for amateurs.

Our trick play is the forward pass on 1st and 2nd down.

We don't need trick plays. Only low IQ fans want them.

Trick plays are for desperation. We have never been and won’t be desperate

I’m sure we have some but we simply haven’t needed them all season.

I think the defense needs to be ready for them against climpsun.

Teams use trick plays when they know they can’t beat you straight up.

I don't know about that. I'd like to be up by enough that we can use some trick plays just to show off and provide entertainment a la Harlem Globe Trotters of football. Maybe have Burrow turn around to face his own goal line and throw a no-look-over-the-shoulder to Chase or Jefferson for at least a first down.

this is a huge advantage in the NC game. Clemson has to pull out - not trick plays - but go deeper into their playbook with TL running the ball. We were vanilla af against OU.

I don’t know what a “trick play” would look like with this offense but I imagine it would result in all 11 defenders falling down at the same time.
