This just reminds me of how deadly this front seven would be with Burch added to it. We’d have pass rushers at every position as well as the big athletic run-stoppers and then the rushers at LB as well as run stoppers while also having guys who can run sideline to sideline.

It’s not too late though. If LSU can get one in the transfer or JUCO this year or next year or sign a no doubt 5* DE in 21 then we’ll be just as dangerous in a couple of years. It’s not too late. I’d be looking for that perfect addition because we’re loaded on D. It’s looking like offense and defense is going to be loaded at the same time much more often under this staff.

Imagine Brooks, Webb, Ojulari, Roy, Guillory, Gaye, Ika, Shelvin, Little, Moore, Cherry, the rest of our DL guys who have developed as well as Thornton and Anthony.

This should be a very deep front seven next year. If most of the juniors stay then it’ll be a great mix of young talent with veteran players at every level. Should be a very good defense. I’d also like to see Aranda start using the blitz more. IMO it’s only risky if you give it away or if your playing a veteran QB who is accurate under pressure.

It can also cause most QBs to throw the ball when he doesn’t want to and where he shouldn’t. Even if you can get to a QB with 4 sending 5 or 6 every so often doesn’t hurt and can cause havoc.
