Both conferences have 14 teams. Make it the 3rd week of the season.

Year 1-2 (Home and Home)

B1G East vs SEC East
B1G West vs SEC West

Year 3-4 (Home and Home)

B1G East vs SEC West
B1G West vs SEC East

Each team plays the same team for a 2 year period (Home and Home) Then rotate matchups and rinse and repeat. I think this would be GREAT for college football.

Simply put, there’s no reason for either conference to do it, as it poses too many risks.

If we’re gonna play one strong OOC game each year, then I sure as shite don’t want it being the Big 10 every year. Prime example is getting to play in the Rose Bowl in ‘21 against UCLA - love that.

Columbus is a cool city, went many times in my Abercrombie days, but I have no desire to go to some of the others.

Some schools like South Carolina UGA and UF already have rivalry games vs P5 opponents. I doubt they would want to be locked into something permanent with the already tough conference schedule then throwing on potentially up rivals with it.

Speaking from an Arkansas fan perspective too we would much rather rotate some P5 Texas opponents in there.

I think you need to make a matchup for next year
Locations, teams etc.

You the man!
