It's TRUE. The real problem is that women want the success men have but dont want the responsibility that comes with that success. Men generally marry down (ie pick a women who makes less) because that's what societal norms have led to until the modern era.

I have nothing against a woman being in a wealthy or high-end career. But these women always want a man who makes just as much or more.

I know quite a few couples where the men who do very well but the wives do even better. All are pretty happy. One couple in particular, the wife is about to become VP of Marketing for one of the largest vehicle manufacturers in the world. He's the extremely handy type so he stays home and raises the kids while constantly doing home improvement projects (built a really nice deck, firepit, has renovated multiple rooms in their very large home, etc).

It can be done but as you say, the women in such situations have to be realistic in what they are looking for in a mate.

You’ve given him the address to mail his man card, right? Because he’s a manny.

This is me. Wife owns a business and has been very successful with it. I spent some time doing the Mr Mom thing and helping with the business. Obamacare and the kids getting older put me back in the workforce.

I left a 6 figure sales job. It's going to take me a while to get back to where I was careerwise. I hope I can catch back up, but it's nice to have a wife that contributes as much as she does.
