Doesn't have any difference makers, huh? Hmm, that's interesting. Because I've been told by these "geniuses" for pretty much the entire season that Ohio State was the most "complete" team in the country, because they had this supposedly awesome defense.
But they somehow allowed Trevor Lawrence, of all people, to run for over 100 yards on them. Meanwhile, LSU held the MUCH more dangerous runner, in Hurts, to just 43 yards.
Make no mistake, as overrated as we know Oklahoma was, it wasn't because of their offense. And their offense pads their stats in a weak conference, but they can legitimately score on most anyone, and they barely got over 300 yards against LSU. Given that Oklahoma's offense was predicated this year on the run, and setting up their passing game through that, I'd say we have some difference makers up front who, you know... made a difference!
Clemson gave up over 500 yards to OSU, and depended on mistakes to win the game for them, but OUR defense is still the one being questioned?
Nobody tries on TV, anymore. They have their preconceived notions, and whichever side they were on to begin with, very few of them will ever be swayed, no matter what happens.
