I’m not aware of any religion that endorses illicit drugs. I don’t recall any bible verses endorsing Gods children putting themselves in a stupor at all. I don’t think there was even any problem with drinking, but drunkenness is a pretty big no-no.

Regardless, equating that with implementing sharia law and destroying the Constitution is asinine.

I’ll go out on a limb, and say all religions have their share of bullshite, and assholes who perpetuate it. At least around here, the CoC is very much like baptists when it comes to drinking, and letting kids have dances and such, because of the music.
