LOL. The game was obviously over and Oklahoma just wanted the game to end. Getting excited over Brennan in that situation compares to being impressed to a backup qb in the pre-season versus guys who are getting cut the next day.
Brennan may turn out to be great or he may suck. IMO, we lose 4 games with him as the starter because he has no pocket presence and has no ability to extend plays. Teams are going to kill us on the blitz.
If you look back on the season Burrow's legs were crucial versus Texas, Auburn, Florida, Bama and Georgia. From what I have seen Brennan does not have that mobility so it will be tough for him to win games when that is necessary.

We won’t rely as much on throwing the ball next year. We will still throw it a ton but not as much as this year.

Brennan may be best suited to orchestrate an uptempo, pass-heavy attack that spreads its weapons across the field. He became incredibly comfortable in a similar setting while at St. Stanislaus, where he set state records for career passing yardage (15,027) and touchdown tosses (165).
Brennan completed 69 percent of throws as a senior, per MaxPreps, shredding opponents en route to 3,982 yards, 48 scores and just three interceptions in 12 games. His athleticism allows him to evade defenders, but the "pro-style QB" label is appropriate.
With some elite coaching from Brady, don't be surprised if Brennan is putting up Burrow type numbers next year. The kid has the skill...so did Burrow when he was riding the pine. Both of them are in a system now that plays to their skill sets. LSU will be special again next year.

I worked the Spring Game for ESPN and we look for trends or interesting storylines as the games progress. In that game, one of the trends that we noticed was that Brennan was actually putting up slightly better numbers than Burrow through the better part of the first half. Now, that balanced out and then it got really weird (as Spring Games do) when they let Burrow call it a day and they played Brennan both ways for the majority of the second half to get him more practice reps.
Point is, Brennan would have served as a solid starter THIS year had it not been for us landing a generational talent like Joe. Having had another year to prepare and learn this new offense, I believe he is poised to have a lot of success leading this team next season.

You have no clue what you’re talking about.

It sounds like you are pulling for someone else to QB.

I am for optimism at this point of the year, drop the pessimism...
